Advertise on AVwhere
AVwhere maps where driverless rides run, city by city, from public sources. One sponsor at a time can reach the people who follow it, with a labelled box on the Updates and Data pages.
On this page
1Who reads AVwhere
People following where driverless rides run: riders and enthusiasts, people working on autonomous vehicles, analysts, journalists and investors. AVwhere doesn't profile readers, so it makes no claims about job titles or employers.
Reader figures for each month are published here at the start of the next.
- Listings on the map

Catalog figures as of October 26, 2026. Page views come from Cloudflare Web Analytics, which some content blockers hide, so they undercount.
2What you get
- One box in the Updates feed, after the third day of news, in the unfiltered feed (not in searches or views of one operator, city or listing).
- One box on the Data page: at the bottom of the side menu on wide screens, between the last two sections on phones.
- Four weeks, Monday to Monday (UTC), as the only sponsor on AVwhere.
- Your own link, used exactly as you give it, with your own campaign tag if you want one.
- A start confirmation within two business days, and a recap within five business days of the end.
Never on the map, a listing, the homepage, Help, or in any email.
3Rates
Each sponsorship is quoted by email. Tell us your dates, how many four-week flights you'd like and what you'd promote, and we reply within two business days with a price in US dollars. You pay by invoice, sent by email with your order; nothing on this site takes payment.
4What we measure, and what we don’t
We count page views of the pages carrying your box, and send dated screenshots of it running at the start and in the recap.
We don't track readers, count clicks, set cookies, or share anything about anyone. To measure visits, put your own tag on your link (for example https://your-company.com/?ref=avwhere), or look for avwhere.com as the referrer in your analytics: the link sends that and nothing more.
Readers who block ads may not see the box. We don't try to get around that.
5Who can’t advertise
No operator pays to appear on AVwhere. These can't buy any placement, including job ads:
- companies that operate a service listed on the map;
- companies named in a listing as a partner in its service: the booking app, the vehicle maker, the fleet or service operator, the remote-supervision provider, the city or agency running a pilot;
- companies that own or are owned by any of these, and recruiters or agencies hiring for them.
We also don't accept political or issue advertising (including for or against autonomous-vehicle laws), gambling, cryptocurrency or investment offers, adult content, tobacco, vaping or cannabis, weapons, payday lending, multi-level marketing, health claims, or anything that makes safety claims about autonomous services, compares operators, or suggests AVwhere endorses you.
Sponsorship never affects which services are listed, their statuses or any figure, and every placement is labelled Ad. We may report news about a sponsor at any time.
6Your ad
| Name | Your company or product name, up to 40 characters |
|---|---|
| Headline | Up to 70 characters |
| Text | Up to 140 characters of plain text: no links or emoji. A promo code is fine. |
| Link | An https:// page of yours, used exactly as given. No shorteners, redirects or per-reader tracking codes. |
| Logo | PNG, WebP or AVIF, not animated, at most 100 KB: square (at least 96 by 96 px) or wide (3:1, at least 240 by 80 px) |
Send it at least five business days before your start. We may ask for changes that follow these rules.
7How to book
By email, with Contact@avwhere.com.

A booking request should say:
- Company
- Website

- Preferred start (a Monday)
- How many four-week flights
- Budget, if you have one
- Contact name
- We confirm you can advertise and that your dates are free, and quote a price.
- We email an order (your name, dates, placements, price and ad, and the terms' version) with an invoice.
- You reply “Accepted”.
- Your flight is booked once the invoice is paid, at least five business days before it starts.
Every order follows the sponsorship terms (version 1).
